Skipping through some photos again...found one of my bleeding finger, after I slipped while doing a linocut:
Plus some other stuff from my sketchbook.
These are rasterised photos which I printed (with an ordinary laser printer) and then I painted on them with acrylic ink.

Sketchbook st...never mind
Today I've been skipping through some old photos of mine...
When I was 18, I got my ear pierced. It started to fester twice and took about one year to heal completely.
The second time I had an inflammation, I also got this starnge, festering bump (which fortunately disappeared again).
This is what it looked like (I didn't draw the purulence though):
I'll never get a piercing again. :D

Sketchbook stuff²
I haven't drawn anything since last Wednesday and I felt very lazy because of that...until now:
Still I'm feeling like I haven't had a good idea in ages...
I actually wanted to print a card game someday, but I just can't come up with any concept for the pictures on the cards.
I'd also like to redraw my misanthropic cactus and make a screen printed postcard of that.
And then there's this half-baked idea for another artbook about blood and its usage throughout the hostory of mankind.
Also Paul and I are planning a new cooperation!
So actually there's a lot to do, but I'm not really doing anything, because I'm still tired from last week...

Wherefore art thou sleep?
Finally it's over! On Monday we'll have to move our stuff from the gallery back to our studios again, but I guess I'm going to survive that.
The examination went okay, altough I was very, very, veeeeeery nervous.
Also I'm still tired as hell after all this stress...
Here are some (bad) photos of the exhibition for you:
The stuff in that vitrine is one of my blood paintings, which I wanted to show this way for a long time. I'm happy it actually worked out that well.
During the examination I stood right there, between the vitrine and the zombie prints, to read out my text about my work in front of all the professors and my fellow students. I could actually feel my heart beating in my throat...I don't even want to think about it anymore! :D

Sketchbook stuff - 2
Tomorrow morning (much too early!) my fellow students and I are going to start arranging the exhibition for our diploma examination. I hope everything will go as planned.
But I know I'm going to feel fucked up the whole next week (especially on Thursday) plus the Monday after that...actually until the 9th of February, because after the diploma stuff we're going to have to prepare everything for the open days at my uni.
So there's a lot of arrangig piles of crap coming up...I'm already feeling much too tired for this.
Anyway, here's more sketchbook stuff for you:

Sketchbook stuff
It feels like I haven't drawn on real paper in ages! I've only been doing digital drawings lately.
Well, today I took out some pencils and sketched some pictures. It was only then, that I realized how muchI missed drawing in my sketchbook.
[Again, sorry for the bad photos...I wish I had a scanner!]

AAAH
Potential screen print (?):
The photograph I used as a reference is one of my favourites.
I took that photo in 2007 as a reference picture for an oil painting which I then gave to my best friend. Since then I repainted and drew this image motif again and again.
I can't even say why I like it that much...
[Btw.: Now that I don't have the time to work on anything intensly, my head is being flooded with new ideas.]

Sketchy
Now I'm into drawing this octopus women...again.
This is just a sketch (it still looks kind of boring to me), but I'd like to make a linocut of it. I haven't done any linocuts for one year now and I'm starting to miss the work process. But I'm still too occupied with my diploma (AAAAAAH! The examination is going to take place next Thursday!), so I don't know when I'll have the time to work on this picture a little more...

Still looks strange enough [picture update]
Today I stumbled across a photo of the strangest panting I ever did.
I painted it about 4 1/2 years ago, at the beginning of my studies. It was a tryout, to see what happens when I transform one of my linocuts of women with animal heads into a painting.
You see, it didn't work out very well, but when I found the photo of it today, I just had to try and redo it digitally:

Zombunny - print [photo update]
I was trying to come up with a new idea for a print to show at my diploma examination. I'm planning to show the "Dance of Death" and that zombie screen prints. But I coludn't think of anything good and new (also there's only 2 weeks left until my examination). so I decided to redo the Zombunny and print it. I guess it would go pretty well with the other zombie.
Today I finished it, but it did not turn out very well and I don't think I'll be able to fix its flaws.
So yes, I'm feeling a bit stressed because of that right now...
Anyway, here's the print:
